FAQ
How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?
We tattoo only folks 18 and up. We require a valid, government-issued ID for everyone entering the shop.
Do you take walk-ins?
No, we are an appointment-only shop.
How do I make an appointment or request a consultation?
Directly contact the artist of your choice. They’ll gladly discuss next steps. Be ready to share details about your idea such as size, location, and color, or they can share available flash for you to choose from.
How should I prepare for a new tattoo?
Nourish yourself with hearty meals, sleep, and hydration for at least 24 hours prior. It’s best not to party beforehand, as alcohol can increase bleeding, which can impact the quality of your tattoo. Before your appointment, eat a full meal and drink plenty of water throughout the day. This promotes a more comfortable tattooing experience and faster healing.
Also, ask your artist for outfit recommendations based on where you’re getting tattooed. This will allow for comfortable accessibility.
What should I bring with me to the tattoo appointment?
A hydrating beverage and snacks, or a meal, depending on the length of the session. Headphones if you’d like a distraction. And a zip-up hoodie in case you get chilly.
Do I need to leave a deposit to get a tattoo?
Yes. Rates and deposit requirements vary based on the artist. They will walk you through pricing and how to send the deposit. Deposits are non-refundable due to the work done in anticipation of the appointment, as well as the time intentionally blocked off on calendars.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We prefer to be a cash-only shop, though in emergencies or pressing circumstances we can take most credit and debit cards. We also accept shop gift cards. No checks.
Do people usually tip their tattoo artists?
While tipping your artist is customary in our industry, it is never required or expected. There is no standard rate; we appreciate it, but are truly thrilled to have you as a client!
